The hike climbs gently until you reach Avalanche Lake.  Once you get there, you are treated to tremendous views. Avalanche Lake sits at the base of the 8,689-foot Bearhat Mountain; amongst the soaring peaks behind Avalanche Lake, there are several waterfalls tumbling hundreds of feet. This trail is appropriate for most children but may be too much for young kids. If you only have time to do one hike in Glacier, we definitely recommend you consider Avalanche Lake! Pictures don't do their beauty justice.
